City Planner

The City of Shelbyville is accepting applications for the full-time position of Planner to join the Planning & Community Development Department. This position is primarily responsible for processing, reviewing, and providing recommendations regarding development applications. This position is under the administrative direction of the Planning & Community Development Director. 

The City Planner is a full-time position, Monday-Friday. The pay range is $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. The City of Shelbyville offers a comprehensive benefits package.

The ideal candidate will have at least a bachelor’s degree in urban planning or a related field and experience in professional planning, preferable in municipal land use planning at local government level.
