The Town of Greeneville Police Department has revamped its hiring process and is now accepting applications year-round!

The Department consists of four patrol shifts that work 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights. Each 28-day cycle contains a 7-day break along with additional shorter-term days off. The Greeneville Police Department units consist of Patrol, School Resource Officers, Tactical Units, K-9 Units, Bomb Unit, Drug Enforcement Units, Criminal Investigative Units, Traffic Units, and Code Enforcement Units.  There are also opportunities for off-duty work, as well.

Starting annual salary for a Police Officer Recruit is $46,172.46 and increases to $51,389.94 after successful completion of Recruit requirements.  Pair the salary with our excellent benefits package and you have a fantastic career opportunity!
