NEUs Must Complete Certain Actions to Receive Second Tranche of ARPA Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Funds

The U.S. Treasury has recently released additional guidance to states regarding the distribution of the second tranche of ARPA Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Funds to non-entitlement units of local government (NEU). Treasury expects to release the funds for Tennessee NEUs approximately 12 months after the first tranche, so in the September or October timeframe. Before the state is able to release funds to an NEU, the NEU will need to confirm the contact information for its authorized representative and primary point of contact. The NEU must also have an updated SAM.gov registration that includes a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number provided through SAM.gov.  The Department of Finance and Administration continues to work with Horne to administer ARPA funds. Please be on the lookout for an email from Caleb Patrick, email address: caleb.patrick@horne.com, that will include your entity‚Äôs contact information and UEI number that you will need to confirm.  (7/12/22)

Additional guidance is now available regarding non-entitlement units of local government (NEUs). (5/24/21)
