Public Entity Partners


Public Entity Partners was created during the challenging insurance climate of the 1970s, a time when many Tennessee municipalities had been abandoned by the commercial insurance industry.

Led by a Board of Directors made up of elected officials and city managers, Public Entity Partners is a non-profit organization that provides liability, workers’ compensation, and property and crime coverage to more than 90 percent of Tennessee’s municipalities.

We also provide many value-added services at no cost to our members. Some of those include:

  • Property valuations;
  • Legal hotline assistance;
  • Disaster recovery assistance subscription;
  • Safety, driver and property grants
  • Educational/training scholarships awarded to members;
  • Training, including in-person customized training for your specific needs, self-paced online training, and an extensive DVD library;
  • 24/7 online claims filing for all lines of coverage;
  • 24/7 online claims tracking/metrics for all lines of coverage;
  • Annual bonus for placement of all three lines of coverage with Public Entity Partners; and
  • The return of dividends to eligible members (not outside stockholders).
