The Town of Nolensville is seeking a highly motivated individual for a full-time Town Engineer position at Town Hall. This position acts as a resource on engineering technical matters for other Town departments, consulting engineers, BOC, Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, and Storm Water Appeals Board related to land development and capital improvement projects, traffic engineering, and stormwater management.
 

Essential Job Duties:
• Reviews Development Plans and Advises Developers/Engineers
• Advises Board and Various Committees
• Oversees Management of Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System
• Investigates Complaints or Requests
• Oversees Traffic Engineer Functions
• Manages Transportation Grants
 

Applicants shall have excellent project management, oral and written communication skills. This position requires in-depth knowledge of civil engineering (site, roadway, drainage, and traffic) principles and practices. Is very knowledgeable of Federal, State, and local regulations related to storm water management and transportation. Knowledgeable of subdivision regulations, land use, and zoning laws, Planning Commission bylaws, and Town municipal codes as they pertain to the duties of the position. Familiar with AASHTO Roadway Design Guidelines and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
Applicant must have an a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, plus eight to ten years of civil engineering experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have P.E. License.
