The Town of Cumberland Gap is soliciting qualifications from firms or individuals to provide contract services for a Certified Wastewater Treatment Operator, a Wastewater Collection System Operator, and a Water Distribution System Operator.
The Town is interested in experienced operators with the ability to perform all the duties listed in the position description. Please refer to the three job descriptions attached to the Qualifications Package for the specific scope of work and required duties.
At a minimum, the applicant must possess the following active Tennessee licenses:
• TN Grade III Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Operator’s License.
• TN Grade I Wastewater Collection System License.
• TN Grade I Water Distribution System License.
The Qualifications Package is available from the Town of Cumberland Gap and may be obtained from the City Recorder at 330 Colwyn Street, Cumberland Gap, TN, from 8am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, (423)869-3860 or by email cityhall@townofcumberlandgap.com.
Qualifications must be delivered to the Cumberland Gap Town Hall no later than 12:00 PM (Noon) on May 20, 2026.
Qualifications will be evaluated based on experience and licensing, with a final decision expected at the Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting on June 1, 2026. The Town will contact the selected applicant following this meeting.
